• 경주솔거미술관은 지속적으로 경북 출신 및 활동 작가들의 전시를 개최하여, 경북작가의 저력과 예술성을 선보임으로서 경북 시각예술의 가치를 제고하고자 한다. 이번 전시에는 최정윤, 이경호, 이철진 작가를 초대하여, 경북 출신 작가들이 펼쳐내는 다채로운 감각적 이미지들을 관람객들에게 선보이고자 한다.
• 1. 최정윤
  경상북도 경주 출신의 조각가 최정윤은 인간사의 '권력과 욕망'을 주제로 한 '검(劍) 시리즈'로 국제적인 주목을 받아왔습니다. 그의 작품은 그래미 어워드 수상 가수 킴 칸즈(Kim Carnes) 1945년 미국 출생, 1981년 제24회 그래미 어워드 최우수상, 대표곡/ Bette Davis Eyes와 뉴욕의 저명한 건축가 등 세계적인 컬렉터들의 관심을 받았습니다. 최 작가는 1999년 서경갤러리와 2002년 금산갤러리에서 도예전을 열며 도예가로서의 경력을 시작했습니다. 이후 회화, 도예, 조각 등 다양한 예술 분야를 넘나들며 독특한 작품 세계를 구축해왔습니다. 그의 작품은 한지를 주재료로 사용하여 한국적인 감성을 극대화하며, 섬세한 촉감과 자연스러운 표현을 통해 동양의 정신을 담아내고 있습니다. 또한, 최정윤 작가는 현대인의 초상을 그리는 작업에서도 기하학적 형태와 평면적인 표현을 통해 불특정 다수의 모습을 묘사하며, 관객에게 다양한 해석의 여지를 제공합니다. 이러한 작품들은 현대인의 내면과 사회 구조를 탐구하는 그의 예술적 시각을 반영하고 있습니다. 최정윤 작가의 작품 세계는 권력과 욕망, 현대인의 초상 등 다양한 주제를 통해 인간의 내면과 사회적 구조를 탐구하며, 이를 독특한 조형 언어로 표현하고 있습니다.
• 2. 이경호
  경상북도 김천 출신의 이경호 작가는 국내 미디어 아트 분야에서 선구적인 역할을 수행해온 작가이자 기획자입니다. 프랑스에서 2000년 귀국 이후, 그는 [미디어시티 서울], [광주비엔날레], [상하이비엔날레], [세비야비엔날레] 등 국내외 주요 비엔날레와 전시에 참여하며 왕성한 활동을 펼쳤습니다. 특히 환경 문제는 그의 작품 세계를 관통하는 핵심 주제입니다. 이경호 작가는 환경 파괴로 신음하는 지구의 현실을 일상의 문제로 인식하고, 이를 작품을 통해 표현합니다. 현재는 광주미디어아트플랫폼(G.MAP)을 통해 다양한 전시와 교육 프로그램을 기획하며, 미디어 아트의 대중화와 산업화를 위한 노력을 이어가고 있습니다. 또 한, 미디어 아트의 경계를 확장하고, 기술과 예술의 융합을 통해 새로운 표현 방식을 모색하며, 국내 미디어 아트의 발전에 기여하고 있습니다.
• 3. 이철진
  이철진 작가는 포항을 기반으로 활발히 활동하는 현대 미술가로, 특히 '춘심이' 시리즈로 널리 알려져 있습니다. 그의 작품은 밝고 경쾌한 색채와 독특한 인물 표현을 통해 관람객에게 따뜻한 감성과 유쾌함을 전달합니다. '춘심이'는 작가가 창조한 여성 캐릭터로, 다양한 상황과 감정을 표현하며 현대인의 삶과 감성을 대변합니다. 이 시리즈는 서울 아트쇼를 비롯한 여러 전시회에 출품되어 관람객들의 큰 호응을 얻었습니다. 또한, 이철진 작가는 '봄의 행복한 여인들'이라는 주제로 부산과 대구에서 전시회를 개최하였습니다. 이 전시에서는 봄의 생동감과 여성의 행복한 순간들을 화폭에 담아내어 많은 이들의 공감을 이끌어냈습니다. 이철진 작가의 작품은 일상의 소소한 행복과 인간의 따뜻한 감정을 색채와 형태로 표현하며, 이를 통해 현대인들에게 위로와 희망의 메시지를 전달하고 있습니다.

• The Gyeongju Solgeo Museum of Art aims to enhance the value of Gyeongbuk visual art by continuously holding exhibitions of artists from Gyeongbuk and active artists to showcase the potential and artistry of Gyeongbuk artists. This exhibition invites artists Choi Jeong-yoon, Lee Kyung-ho, and Lee Cheol-jin to show visitors a variety of sensual images by artists from Gyeongbuk.
• 1. Choi Jeongyoon
  Choi Jung-yoon from Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, has drawn international attention for his "劍 series" that is about "power and desire" in human history. Kim Carnes was born in 1945 and won Best Song at the 24th Grammy Awards in 1981 for her hit “Bette Davis Eyes. His work received the attention of world-renowned collectors, including Grammy Award-winning singer Kim Carnes and prominent New York architects. Choi started his career as a potter by holding pottery exhibitions at Seokyeong Gallery in 1999 and Geumsan Gallery in 2002. Since then, he has built a unique world of works across various art fields such as painting, pottery, and sculpture. Using Korean paper as the main material, his works maximize Korean sensibility and capture the spirit of the East through delicate touch and natural expression. In addition, Choi Jeong-yoon depicts an unspecified number of figures through geometric shapes and flat expressions in the work of painting portraits of modern people, providing the audience with room for various interpretations. These works reflect his artistic perspective, which explores the inner and social structures of modern people. The world of Choi Jung-yoon's works explores the inner and social structure of humans through various themes such as power and desire, and portraits of modern people, and expresses them in a unique formative language.
• 2. Lee Kyung-ho
  Lee Kyung-ho, from Gimcheon, North Gyeongsang Province, is a writer and planner who has played a pioneering role in the domestic media art field. Since returning from France in 2000, he has been active, participating in major biennials and exhibitions at home and abroad, including [Media City Seoul], [Gwangju Biennale], [Shanghai Biennale], and [Seville Biennale]. Environmental issues, in particular, are a key theme penetrating the world of his work. Artist Lee Kyung-ho recognizes the reality of the earth groaning from environmental destruction as a daily problem and expresses it through his work. Currently, he plans various exhibitions and educational programs through the Gwangju Media Art Platform (G.MAP), and continue our efforts to popularize and industrialize media art. In addition, it expands the boundaries of media art, seeks new ways of expression through the fusion of technology and art, and contributes to the development of domestic media art.
• Lee Cheol-jin
  Lee Cheol-jin is an active contemporary artist based in Pohang, especially widely known for the Chunsimi series. His work conveys warm sensibility and pleasure to visitors through bright and cheerful colors and unique character expressions. Chunsim is a female character created by the artist, expressing various situations and emotions and representing the lives and emotions of modern people. The series was featured in several exhibitions, including the Seoul Art Show, which received great response from visitors. In addition, Lee Cheol-jin held exhibitions in Busan and Daegu under the theme of Happy Women in Spring. In this exhibition, the life of spring and the happy moments of women were captured on a canvas, drawing sympathy from many people. Lee Cheol-jin's works express daily small happiness and human warm emotions in colors and forms, and through this, he conveys a message of comfort and hope to modern people.
