• ‘청춘’은 미숙한 삶의 경험을 메우고, 화려하고 아름다운 미래를 꿈꿀 자유와 기회를 상징하는 말이다. 지금은 ‘현대 과학’이 ‘사람들’에게 이 땅에서 더 많은 시간을 누릴 기회를 주면서 그 개념과 범위를 논하는 것은 무색해졌다. 그렇다고 광대하고 다양한 영역을 누리는 지금의 청년들에게 지난날의 ‘청년’을 떠올리는 건 무리가 있다.
• 이번 전시는 그 청춘의 출발점에 선 신진(新進)예술가보다 후퇴한, 걸음마를 시작하는 예비 작가들이다. 그러니 아직은 자랑할게 없고 더더욱 특출날 것도 없으며, 미래를 뚜렷이 그리고자 하는 계획도 아련하다. 막연히 청춘일 뿐이고, 오롯이 청춘일 뿐이다.
• 김지인 작가는 자아를 살펴 작품을 통해 항상 나를 반조(返照)하려 하고, 남궁혜민 작가는 기억을 살펴, 그 기억의 재구성을 통해 새로움을 이끌어 내고자 한다. 박상미 작가는 아버지의 추억을 현대적 시각으로 풀어내면서 자신의 감정을 표현하려하고, 박심혁 작가는 자신의 대화법을 그림을 매개(媒介)로 하여 해방감을 얻고자 한다. 박시형 작가는 세상의 모든 존재를 의심하며 그 의심의 영역을 작품으로 표현하고자 한다. 유우상 작가는 일상의 감사함을 모두 함께 공유하기를 원하며 작품을 그려낸다.
• 6명의 작가는 경북 도내(道內) 미술대학에서 각자의 방식을 통해 비상을 준비하고 있고 이번 전시가 그 첫걸음이다. 약간은 부족하고 어설픈 현실을 청춘이라는 이름 뒤에 숨기보단 청춘이기 때문에 당당히 드러내고자 함을 전제하여야 한다.

Gyeongju Solgeo Art Museum <2025 Gyeongbuk Young Artist Group Exhibition>

• "Youth" is a word that symbolizes the freedom and opportunity to fill the inexperienced life experience and dream of a colorful and beautiful future. Now, as "modern science" gives "people" a chance to enjoy more time on this earth, it has become irrelevant to discuss its concept and scope. However, it is unreasonable to think of the "youth" of the past for today's young people who enjoy vast and diverse areas.
• This exhibition is a group of prospective artists who are in their infancy, and have stepped back from emerging artists who are at the starting point of their youth. So they have nothing to boast about yet, nothing even more exceptional, and their plan to draw a clear future is vague. It is just youth, it is only youth.
• The artist Kim Ji-in studies the self and always tries to reverse herself through her work, and the artist Namkung Hye-min studies the memory and tries to bring out newness through reconstruction of the memory. Artist Park Sang-mi wants to express her feelings by unraveling her father's memories from a modern perspective, and Park Sim-Hyeok wants to gain a sense of liberation by using his communication method or his paints as a medium. The artist Park Si-hyung doubts all the existence of the world and intends to express the area of suspicion through his work. Artist Yu Wu-sang paints works wanting to share all the gratitude of everyday life.
• The six artists are preparing for the emergency in their own way at an art college in Gyeongsangbuk-do, and this exhibition is the first step. Rather than hiding the slightly lacking and clumsy reality behind the name of youth, it should be premised that they want to proudly reveal it because they are young.
